South Charlotte Metro Chamber of Commerce Announcement

Charlotte ranks second in the nation in job growth (2.7% annually) and the South Charlotte/Ballantyne area is growing even faster. There is a unique mix to the South Charlotte Metro area -which is different than Charlotte as a whole. Even with its large growth, there is still a feeling of small community here.

 What was previously the Pineville Chamber has been focused on that kind of community. It’s about facilitating building meaningful relationships, and getting companies getting together to learn new things. The chamber’s new identity, the South Charlotte Metro Chamber is reflective of its members, its activities and its mission. 

Through its events and programs, the Chamber brings together experts to help companies understand the latest technologies, marketing strategies, and methods.

 The Chamber has also put a focus on charity and giving, supporting local charitable organizations such as Pineville Neighbors Place and Hope Soccer Ministries, and going beyond. For example this year’s golf tournament on October 1^st supports Veterans Bridge Home in honor of our country’s 250^th anniversary. 

Less than 50% of the members of the chamber have businesses actually located in Pineville. Instead, they are located throughout the South Charlotte Metro area and adjoining communities. Therefore, the name of the Chamber wasn’t reflective of its members nor its reach.
